After a 40+ hour journey our 22 member team finally made it to Yangon, Myanmar safe and sound, with all 65 of our personal and donation/supply bags intact.
After clearing customs we were met by two of our close Burmese friends, Gilbert and Rosy who helped check us into our hotel. After a short meeting covering our next two days ministries, we had dinner, and called it an evening for some badly needed rest.
Tomorrow we break into two groups. Team one will minister to Faith Orphanage, while team two will minister to Love Bosom Orphanage. The children at these orphanages are all anxiously and eagerly looking forward to seeing us again. It’s like Christmas to them. Our team is also looking forward to our first full day of children’s ministry.
- The flooding in the Karen State will subside, and allow us the opportunity to evangelize with the six scheduled remote house church villages.
- The H1N1 virus and the Dengue Fever outbreaks will subside throughout the country.
- Pray for the safety, health, and effectiveness of our team.
Attached are four photos from our start. Small team leaving Crestview Baptist Church, Larger team at LAX, and two photos of our first team dinner.
