At Mountain Movers, we believe every child is a gift from God, and we’re honored to walk alongside families in their earliest years of learning and faith. Our program blends nurturing, high-quality care with a curriculum rooted in Scripture, helping children grow in mind, body, and spirit.
for Children and Families: Children will be enriched with a daily curriculum filled with God's word. Psalm 23:6 "Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of Lord forever."
Children will be taught character traits of God and how to be a daily example of those character traits. Galatians 5:22-23- “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."
for Children and Families
Children will be taught how to identify and regulate emotions.
This type of learning includes gross motor, fine motor, sensory perception, cognitive and social emotional learning. Every child learns differently, and it is our job to guide that learning process in every child.
Play is powerful. Children's work is through play. Teacher directed activity will be based around initiating play and interactions with each child. When play takes place, children explore the world differently. Psalm 34:8 " Taste and see that the Lord is good."
Being in the moment with every child in care. It is important to be intentional with every child. They deserve the best, and that is what we will give them daily. We will celebrate accomplishments and milestones in each child. We will guide and nurture the early learning years. 1 Timothy 4:15 "Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them."
Mountain Movers meets August-May following the GISD calendar closely. We are in school Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9:15am-2:15pm.

Shelby is honored to serve as the Director of the Weekday Program at Crestview, a church she has called home for more than 20 years. With a background in early childhood education and ministry, Shelby has a passion for working with children and families and creating a safe, nurturing, Christ-centered environment where children can learn and grow. She especially enjoys supporting teachers, building relationships with families, and making the Weekday Program a place where children feel known, loved, and excited to come each day. Being able to serve at a church that has been such a meaningful part of her life makes this role especially special to her.
Shelby and her husband Anthony have a big, blended family that keeps life pretty busy! Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, taking the kids on little adventures, decorating and creative projects, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, and making memories with the people she loves. Shelby’s hope for Mountain Movers is that it will be a place where children are loved well, teachers feel supported, and families know their children are genuinely cared for. She is excited to see how God continues to use the Weekday Program to make an impact in the lives of children and families.
“If you have faith like a grain of mustard seed… you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” — Matthew 17:20
