Monday, April 3 through Friday, April 7
Walk through the story of Christ and the Cross, from Pilate to the Tomb, in preparation for the glory of Easter. A reflection guide will lead you on a short walk, at your own pace, from station to station depicting key moments in Christ’s journey to the tomb. At each station, a painting will encourage your imagination and help you empathize with our Savior. While there, you can read accounts from the Gospels and Old Testament prophecy, supplemented by short questions and key points that you can use to dwell on Christ’s awe-inspiring sacrifice more intentionally and understand how it can continue to impact you personally. The reflection guide will also include additional questions and explanations appropriate for families with youth and children. This event will be available Monday through Thursday during business hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday at 5:30 pm prior to the drama. This event will be located in the Commons and Adult Education Building. Stop by the church office for directions!
Friday, April 7 at 6:30 pm in the Worship Center
Essentially, we have seen many depictions in film and on stage where the storyline follows Jesus in every scene on Good Friday. We rarely, if ever, get a look at it from the perspective of the Roman and Jewish people on that day. Come join us for a powerful glimpse at what might have been of those who witnessed Christ’s persecution and crucifixion, and how they were affected by it. This is a free event.
Sunday, April 9
After Jesus died on the cross, everyone thought that was the end. But the best was yet to come. Three days later, Jesus’ followers heard the good news: “He is not here. He is risen.” Today, over two thousand years later, those words still bring hope.
This Easter weekend, celebrate at Crestview to hear the good news and how it can change your life.
There is hope. He is risen.
Please note that while our Sunday morning schedule remains the same, no evening activities will be on campus.
