The Ministry of Media has been a lifelong passion for Russell Hartsfield. After serving as the Pastor of Media and Communications in three large SBC churches over the past 40 years, he recently retired and is now grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the Lord at CBC.

Russell accepted Christ at an early age and committed to full-time ministry at 19 years old. Originally from West Texas, he met his college sweetheart, Susan Irons Hartsfield, at Angelo State University. Married for 45 years, they share a deep friendship and joy in cheering on their three married adult children, their spouses, and five grandchildren.

Alongside his work equipping the body of Christ in communications and media production, Russell and Susan have a heart for discipling couples and helping them strengthen their marriages. Through the years, they have been blessed to witness many couples grow closer to each other and to God.
