Student Ministry

Crestview Student Ministry, CSM, focuses on our students discovering how to view life through the lens of the gospel. Our hope is for students to view school, friendships, and their future in light of their relationship with God, becoming godly leaders in our city and beyond.

 

We start by providing an open atmosphere where students can know that they matter...

where students can be honest, open, heard, accepted, and equipped to live as a light for Christ, no matter what the cost!

 

We hope to connect students in significant relationships and develop a worshipping community,

leading students to become disciples of Christ and equipping them to share their faith with others.

Sunday Morning Bible Study Hour & Worship

On Sunday morning we meet from 9:45am to 10:45am in the Student Ministry Area.  The Bible study hour is structured in such a way that the classes provided are geared toward each age and developmental stage of our students.   Depending on the grade, some classes are broken up by gender, others by topic of study. We begin our time together with an open social time, followed by announcements and then dismissal to classes which are a combination of lecture and discussion time.  

MidWeek

From 6:30-7:30pm each Wednesday, our primary midweek activities take place in the Event Center.  MidWeek opens with games and social time allowing an environment for new people to be welcomed and current members to grow together.  We move into a time of worship to help students learn to engage in genuine worship that is not self-conscience or inauthentic as we reinforce gospel truths. We wrap up the night with our small groups that are student-led, ideal for engaging each student wherever they are in their walk of faith.  It is our desire that each week, students will experience an evening of biblical teaching and the opportunity to build authentic and healthy relationships.

Trail Life USA is a Church-based, Christ-Centered, mentoring and discipleship journey that speaks to a boy's heart. This ministry is established on timeless values derived from the Bible and set in the context of outdoor adventure for boys from K through 12th grade.

ABLAZE 

The Ablaze Youth Choir and Drama Ministry kicked off in the fall of 2018. The students involved in Ablaze learn songs of praise for ministry, for use in encouragement to members of our community as well as mission opportunities beyond our local area.

Students are trained in singing, worship leading, personal evangelism and drama. The goal of Ablaze is multi-faceted, seeking to prepare students to share their faith through their gifts while encouraging them to expand their idea of what ministry can be.

The students meet each Sunday evening in the choir room from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the fall and spring semesters. Students who will be staying for the evening service at 6:30 pm are also provided with a meal. Members of our senior adult choir, Encore, provide fruit, chips, and dessert to the students each week to go along with their entrée. This ministry is available to all students in grades 6th through 12th.
